Welcome to Rugbeian Archivists

Rugbeian Archivists, a club for Rugbeians who are interested in the history of the School, the collections it holds and the museum’s exhibitions.

Our archives comprise of several thousand items, mainly documents, photographs and prints relating the history of the school, and materials by and about Rugbeians, both pupils and staff.

The online archives Rugby School | Digital Archives (rugbyschoolarchives.co.uk) are a long-term project providing online access to some of the archive collection. This includes:

  • The Annotated Registers 1675-1946
  • Memorials of The Great War
  • The Meteor 1867-2020
  • War Diary of 1914-1918 (Head Master Lyon)
  • Some photographs are also available

To search these collections use the blue tool bar above.

We are currently working to add more content to our online archives for the Bicentenary of Rugby Football in 2023. https://www.rugbyschool.co.uk/200-anniversary/

School tours which include the Museum are available from the School Shop; visit https://web.rugbyschool.co.uk/commercial/school-shop-and-tours/tours/ for more information.
