Bilton Grange School News |
On Tuesday 11th April 2023, Bilton Grange pupil Sofia will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain Girl's Choir as a part of the celebration of 40 years of NYCGB at the Royal Albert Hall in London. An amazing opportunity and we are hugely proud of her!
Celebrate! will feature a new commission, One Long Song, incorporating 40 different parts, to be sung by over 900 voices from across various Choirs and Programmes! This will include combined National Youth Choir singers, aged from 9 to 25, as well as alumni members from across the organisation's four decades, staff and artists of the industry-leading Fellowship and Young Composer schemes... there's even a part for the audience!
The theme of the concert and new music commission will be Celebration and Belonging. The concert will be split into two halves and will feature an innovative mix of live and digital elements, including a creative reimagining of Thomas Tallis’ 40-part motet Spem in Alium with digital elements in the first half and Shenandoah being sung by our alumni community.
Tickets are available to book by clicking here, with prices from £10 + venue booking fee, with huge discounts for under 25s.
