Scanlon Success!

Today we said goodbye to Jo Scanlon, who has been with us since 2014, and is heading to Maidwell Hall to be Deputy Head Academic. As Head of English, Jo has instilled a love of reading and writing in many Biltonians. She has encouraged countless numbers to enter the OWL poetry competition and calmed many nerves with advice before a Carol Service reading. Jo's kind and caring nature has been at the heart of all her schools roles, whether it be tutor, teacher, coach or mentor. She has done it all and she will be missed, of course. We wish her all the best for her next adventure.

We're also excited to announce that Jimmy, her son, an OB, was made Head Boy of Rugby School. He's the first day boy to be appointed since 2009, and is not only studying Latin, Further Mathematics and Politics, but also is an Academic and Music Scholar
