Honouring Homefield School: A Commemorative Plaque

As part of our BG150 anniversary year and in conjunction with the Homefield Reunion on 23 March 2024, the Bilton Grange Society has generously installed a commemorative plaque at the entrance of Homefield School (now Bilton Grange Pre-Prep). This plaque honours the rich history and legacy of Homefield School, and the significance of its founders.

It reads:

"Homefield School. Opened in 1938 as a boarding and day preparatory school for girls, incorporating a coeducational pre-prep department. Founding Headmistresses were Audrey Machin and "Miss Nancy" Machin. Homefield later became Bilton Grange Pre-Prep, after the institution of full co-education. This plaque was presented by the Bilton Grange Society in 2024."
