The Rugby Meteors started our season with a fixture against the Oundle Rovers on Caldecotts, we had a lovely day out and we had some new recent leavers join the team which is super to see. The Rovers posted 268 off 43.2 overs. Matthew Karslake opened the bowling well, however it was Will Stoner who was pick of the bowlers picking up 2 wickets at an average of 4.4. Freddie Fowler our new found burst of pace bowled extremely well unfortunately only picking up 2 wickets. The Meteors used 7 bowlers so all were able to contribute! In response the Meteors started well however 2 very unfortunate run outs unsteadied the ship. Alex Watson a recent leaver smashed some sixes, however our tail was unable to wag and our last 4 batsmen were all dismissed for ducks! Rugby were all out for 170.

Unfortunately our only April fixture against the Hurlingham Club was rained off. The next fixture is against Uppingham on 11th June.
