Dear All Meteors
I am writing to inform you of the passing of Pat Stephenson this week. Pat was a member of the victorious 1973 Cricketer Cup side captained by Ted Rose, where he bowled 12-2-29-0. He was an old fashioned line and length seam up bowler, miserly in the extreme. His sons worked the scorebox that momentous day; they couldn't keep up with the scoring rate when Sandy Marshall pummelled the celebrated Old Tonbridgians attack in a late assault over the Burton Court plain trees.
Any archive material, scorecards, anecdotes would be much appreciated.
For those interested, his funeral will be on Wednesday July 26th at 1pm in Stebbing Church, Essex CM6 3SW. guy.stephenson@virgin.net; 07989 117616 if anyone wants to get in contact.
