In April 2024 James Cutter (SF 11-16) and Sam Pougatch (C 11-16) are attempting to complete the Marathon Des Sables, a 252km self-sufficient ultra marathon through the Sahara desert.

They are raising money for the Dave Mackenzie Foundation (DAM). Dave was in School Field, and the foundation, created by twin brother George, provides portable defibrillators to sports clubs around the country. 

All the science points to how important a defib is when cardiac arrest occurs, and the DAM Foundation alongside charity London Hearts make them accessible.
