Amidst the bustling cityscape of Bangkok, an elegant evening of music and mingling took place at the Intercontinental hotel on the 30th March. Our 'Spring Soirée' was a special event to launch 'The Rugbeian Community of Thailand'. The Rugbeian Community honours life-changing education and lifelong friends, bringing together the wider family of the Rugby School Group: alumni, advocates, supporters, patrons, partners, parents and friends.

It is an international community with Rugbeians in all corners of the world, including Southeast Asia. The event, therefore, did not mark the beginnings of a new group, but the beginning of a flagship community centre here in Asia, where Rugby School Thailand, and soon Rugby School Japan, alumni will work to develop and strengthen one of the world's most established and respected alumni networks.

We were honoured to have governors and members of Rugby UK at the event, with speeches by the School's CEO, Khun Taya Teepsuwan and the Executive Principal of the Rugby Group, Neil Hampton - as well as by Mr Grindlay and our current Head Girl & Head Boy.

Performances were given by some of the most talented RST students; future members of the Rugbeian Community who are already starting to make their mark on the world.
