Rugbeian Finlay McCreath (SF 15-17) runs 70km for Movember

James, Brodie, and Finlay

James, Brodie, and Finlay here - three fellas who will be running 70km (44 miles) to raise money for Movember this year. Yep that’s right….

For those of you that know us, running isn't in the DNA. Consequently, the training is going to be full of mishaps, honest confessions, and incredibly red faced selfies. All the ingredients for great viewership.

Given the fact we can all barely stand up after each run, we've taken the liberty to autofill some answers to the key questions below.

So without further ado…

When?
25th November

Why?
Great question! The narrative around mental health is something that all three of us hold close to our hearts and will be sharing some stories along the way to give you a better idea (so stay tuned). In turn, we also want to raise some serious donations for Movember and other mental health services to keep the conversations running, not just jogging.

Can I have some info about the route?
Of course. The total distance will be 44miles (70km) starting at Loretto School in Musselburgh, out to Tyninghame, and back.

Can I come and support?
1000000%. Given the fact none of us have ever run more than the odd 10km, everyone is welcome to join us on a section of the route should they be feeling up to it. This can include running/ jogging/ walking, cycling, etc… We'll be setting off at around 5am and aiming to finish around 4pm so feel free to join at any point.

We're not running 70 km for our health; we're doing it for everyone else's.

Love,
