Rugby School’s Director of Cricket, Michael Powell, recently discussed Jacob Bethell's (W 17-22) cricket journey in an article with The Independent.

Known for his flair and skill, Jacob earned a call-up for England's Test squad against New Zealand, despite having played just 20 first-class matches. His natural ability, honed from an early age in Barbados, coupled with his versatility as both a batter and bowler, has led many, including Michael, to view him as a future Test player. 

The article explains that Bethell's journey hasn’t been without setbacks, however with the backing of coaches like Mark Robinson and a series of promising performances, including a half-century against the West Indies in Antigua, Bethell has proved his worth.
