On 11 March 2026, Lochie Bruneau (SH 17-22), his univeristy friends and fellow Rugbiean will drive 1,318 miles across Europe to deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The large group are driving large vechicals including 4x, trucks and ambulances which contain essential aid from London to Lviv, which can be modified to be suitable for evacuations, such as adding drone detecting technology. The convoy of 15-20 drivers are rasing funds for the journey through a range of challenges and the journey itself.
In convoy are the following:
Samuel Branston commented,
"To complete the drive we’re working with Driving Ukraine, an outfit who have organised 40+ convoys already. They’ve highlighted the continued need for support: This winter has been particularly brutal due to sustained damage to essential infrastructure, particularly cold weather, and geopolitical uncertainty. We’re really keen to help make a difference. The challenge now is raising the funds to cover the cost of the vehicle, the driving, and the modifications in Lviv."
