Rugbeian Natalie Wildsmith (S 06–08) has launched her latest book, The Composer’s Toolkit: Classical Techniques for Modern Musicians.
Natalie and co-author Christopher Tarrant noted in Music Teacher magazine that, in their first book together, The Symphony: From Mannheim to Mahler, they explored the challenges of teaching critical thinking through music analysis. This experience led them to write their latest book.
In The Composer’s Toolkit, they address similar issues in music composition, creating a practical guide for students and teachers.
The book is available here.
