It is a rare and joyous occasion to welcome three generations of Rugbeians back to Rugby School.
George Dennes (M 19-24) concluded five happy years at Rugby this term. On his penultimate day, the Headmaster had the pleasure of meeting with George, his father, William Dennes (Sh 81-83), and his grandfather, John Dennes (Sh 40-44), marking a special moment of three generations returning to the school. The family celebrated their return and enjoyed observing the many changes at Rugby ahead of George’s last day.
George entered the F Block as the youngest student in the school. Throughout his time, he excelled academically and has grown into a modest, kind, and affable young person, making his family and teachers very proud.
After serving three years in the Intelligence Corps, George's grandfather, John Dennes MA, earned a scholarship to Christ's College, Cambridge, and pursued a successful career in law. John's legacy lives on through his son, William Dennes MB BS PhD FRCOG, an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and accredited specialist in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, and now through his grandson, George.
