Griffin House lit up the festive season in spectacular style with their annual Christmas light display, officially switched on last Friday during a heartwarming ceremony that drew a large and supportive crowd. Students, staff and friends of Griffin House enjoyed toasting marshmallows over firepits and sipping mulled wine as they admired the magical lights and garden, expertly curated by Griffin’s gardener, Marc Smerklo.

This year, the event raised £170 for PACT, a small but impactful charity based at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. PACT provides vital support to children diagnosed with cancer, as well as their families, offering comfort and care during incredibly challenging times.

The cause is especially meaningful for Griffin House matron Liz, whose grandson is currently undergoing treatment and making great progress. The charity’s work, which supports both children and their parents, has been a beacon of hope for Liz’s family and countless others.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to share in the festive spirit and contributed to this wonderful cause.
