Congratulations to Rugby School student and rugby scholar Phoebe, who has been selected for the England Rugby U18 Player Development Pathway.
Phoebe is a sports scholar at Rugby and trains with the Boys’ 1st XV rugby squad throughout the week. She has also represented the Girls’ rugby squad at the Rosslyn Park Sevens Festival.
Phoebe writes:
“I’m so proud to be part of Rugby School. The support and care I have received from the staff and students has been incredible, and I’m certain this is the best environment for both my rugby and academic journey to develop further. I hope that through my passion for the sport I can help grow girls’ rugby within the School, enabling others to share my love for the game.”
Head of Rugby, Brett Daynes, said:
“Phoebe’s commitment to her rugby development is outstanding. She is not only giving her all on the pitch but also inspiring others across the School to get involved. Thanks to her enthusiasm and encouragement, alongside some of the other girls, more students are picking up a rugby ball each week.”
This is a tremendous achievement and a wonderful showcase of the sporting talent at Rugby School in its 50th year of girls.
