Thank you to everyone who took the time to take our call and have a conversation with out Rugbeian and Biltonian callers. We are delighted to have raised over £100,000 for the Earle Fund and Arnold Foundation. Your contributions make sure our schools are truly accessible to those who have the most to gain from a boarding education.
Our callers had some great conversations: "Had a very nice conversation with the senior Mr Ball about his time at Bilton Grange, with memories of his late friends from school, plotting to run away after their first week - but he grew to love the school and had a very good time there. He remembered the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II - when they were given their first black and white television. He remembered sweet rationing - which wasn't great for young boys!"
And they wrote some wonderful follow-up messages: "Dear Ms D, It was a pleasure speaking with you over the phone and hearing your personal story regarding Rugby School and Mr H - it certainly sounds like he was a wonderful gentleman. I know the entire Rugbeian Community is whole heartedly grateful for your previous support. I wanted to write to you to personally pass on my thanks as well. It was so lovely hearing your story and it certainly reaffirmed why I enjoy working with the School in this capacity. As we said on the phone, so many deserving students have been (and continue to be) supported through such a wonderful education from the incredibly generous donations we receive from yourself - so thank you. Kindest regards, Emily"
