Alongside his busy Employment, Work and Equality master’s, former Rugby School student, Yaade Joba (W 16-18) ran the Bristol chapter of a national student mental health charity.
He had already volunteered for Nightline Association during his undergraduate in Nottingham and didn’t want to stop helping people when he moved to Bristol.
“Everyone at Bristol Nightline sacrifices their sleep to be there for fellow students who need someone to talk to,” he explained.
“If you can help someone in a tough situation you are really making a difference.”
Yaade also found time to work at a local restaurant and help direct a play for the Drama Society. He graduated with a distinction in front of his parents, with his siblings watching online.
He is now working for London law firm Leigh Day Solicitors.
Congratulations Yaade!
