Peter Whiteman (SH 50-55) was part of a family of Rugbeians - his father, sons and two of his grandchildren also attended Rugby - and had a deep attachment to the School. He frequently returned to Rugby for events and reunions and recognised the significant impact of a good education on his own life and those around him. When he chose to include a gift in his Will to the Arnold Foundation, he was able to ensure his own generosity to the School would continue well beyond his own life and enable others to benefit from the same advantages his own family had enjoyed. Following his passing in 2020, his wife Judy wanted to ensure his wishes were fulfilled and donated his legacy gift to the Arnold Foundation's Endowment Fund. Peter's and Judy's names will be recorded on the plaque that is to be installed on The Close later this year.
The names of everyone who has pledged to include a gift in their Will to Rugby School or the Arnold Foundation will be included on a plaque to be installed on The Close later this year. For more information on how you can make sure your name is included, please click here.
