A Memorial Service for Ray Lewis CBE (1963 – 2024), Founder of the Eastside Young Leaders Academy

A public memorial service is being held to celebrate the life of Ray Arthur Lewis CBE, on Wednesday 8 May 2024, from 4.30-6.00PM.

The service is taking place at The New Testament Church of God, 179 High Road, Willesden, London, NW10 2SD. All are invited to join, to share memories and to honour Ray's legacy, together with the Eastside community and those who were touched by Ray's work.

Patrick Derham will be speaking at the event, with Gareth Parker-Jones, Neil Hampton, Tim Day, and others from Rugby School in attendance.

Through Lewis’s work, many of his Eastside Young Leaders have experienced an education at Rugby School through the Arnold Foundation programme. Recently, three of our Arnold Foundation Ambassadors returned to EYLA to sit on its board. One is now chair of trustees.

Patrick Derham commented, “Meeting Ray changed my life. He was a visionary who helped so many young people believe in themselves and to be agents of change in their communities and beyond. His legacy will live on."
