If you haven’t yet seen it, the series is available on BBC iPlayer (Future Hope appears in Episodes 1,2, and 4), offering a glimpse into Future Hope's school, its cricket legacy and most importantly its children.
About Future Hope
Future Hope was founded by Rugbeian Tim Grandage in 1987. The charity provides vulnerable street and slum children in Kolkata with a safe place to stay in their six homes, nourishing food, opportunities through education, sports, and holistic care. Future Hope runs the only free School for poor children which is registered with Central Board of Secondary Education, the main Examination board in India. With support from Rugby School students, staff, parents, alumni, and wider members of the Rugbeian Community, this charity continues to transform lives. As one student, Biswajit, said: "Future Hope is family to me. A family who has given me a big opportunity to become something."
