Looking back, I can't help but feel incredibly fortunate to have spent five transformative years at Rugby School. From the moment I arrived, there was an abundance of opportunities waiting to be explored, and I eagerly dove into everything the school had to offer.
The whirlwind of activities and lessons in F Block was a blur of excitement. It was a time of constant movement, with new opportunities and challenges around every corner. Among the many activities I threw myself into, the CCF stood out as a particularly enriching experience. Starting in E Block and carrying on into the upper school, I relished my role as a Lance Corporal and enjoyed playing on Lambs Conduit Street.
Yet, beyond the activities, it was the relationships within my house that truly defined my Rugby experience. More than just friends, my housemates felt like sisters, accompanying me through significant life moments and forming a support system that I still have to this day.
Academically, Rugby provided the platform for me to flourish. Through the guidance of teachers like Rachel Force, who nurtured my confidence as a mathematician, and Mr. Rennoldson, my house tutor who was always approachable and supportive, I found the encouragement to push my boundaries and explore new horizons.
After graduating, I attended the University of Birmingham (where I was one of only two students from Rugby School) and studied Human Neuroscience. I have just finished a Masters at UCL in population health.
Throughout it all, I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of individuals like Mrs. Sale, our Housemistress, who was always onside and supportive. Her leadership, alongside the guidance of teachers like Mr. Welch, provided me with the confidence to navigate uncharted territories and seize opportunities. My time at Rugby instilled in me a sense of confidence to embrace change and pursue my passions.
As I prepare to embark on a new chapter as a Public Health Analyst for Leicester City Council, I carry with me the invaluable lessons and experiences gained from my time at Rugby School. It's a journey that has shaped me in ways I could have never imagined, and for that, I will always be grateful.
