Jacob Bethell (W 17-22) Selected for England's White-Ball Series Against Australia

Rugbeian Jacob Bethell (W 17-22) has been selected to represent England in the upcoming white-ball series against Australia this September.

Jacob will be part of the three-match T20 series as well as the five one-day internationals (ODIs) that follow. His selection comes after an outstanding season with Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast, where he amassed 356 runs. Among his many highlights was a remarkable 15-ball fifty against Northamptonshire.

Jacob's journey began at Rugby School, where he earned a sports scholarship and honed his skills under the Director of Cricket and former Warwickshire captain Mike Powell. His talent shone brightly during his time at the school, particularly in 2021, when he scored a modern-day record of 202 runs in the first innings of Rugby School’s annual two-day fixture against Marlborough College.

We will be closely following Jacob's progress throughout the series and wish him the very best of luck in this exciting chapter of his cricketing career.
