Kim Goodhart (D 94-96) is pioneering a self-directed, adaptive online education platform for teenagers with ADHD, designed specifically to spark their curiosity, channel their hyperfocus and enable them to reach their full academic potential.

Kim's own very bright ADHD teenage son was struggling with his schoolwork, and while he initially thrived on self-directed platforms such as Brilliant and Boot.dev, the format eventually stopped engaging him. Myelixo.com is designed to solve this challenge. Kim is based in New Zealand, with 15+ years of business leadership experience. Myelixo.com has an exceptional team, including teachers from leading independent schools in the UK who privately tutor SEND students and have created teaching material for other online platforms, where they saw why the current model fails ADHD students, a paediatric psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist who specialise in neurodiversity, and two experienced engineers.

The plan is to raise NZ$1.5 million (approx. £650,000) to develop an education platform that will support students with ADHD preparing to take their maths IGCSE and pilot it with teenagers to prove our model works. Rugby School will take part in the pilot. Once the model is proven to works, the strategy is to offer more subjects.
