Rugbeian Efa Wilson (St 19-21) has secured two silver medals while representing Great Britain at the FISU World University Championships in rowing.

Competing in both the women's coxless four and the women's eight, Wilson helped Great Britain achieve podium finishes in both events, earning a silver medal in each race at her first international regatta.

The championships marked a significant milestone in Wilson's rowing career, as she received her first Great Britain vest following a successful season of national trials. Her selection came after captaining the Welsh team during the previous season, demonstrating her continued progression within the Sport.

Reflecting on her achievement, Wilson said: "Leaving the championships with two silver medals is slightly surreal, especially at my first international regatta. Earning my first Great Britain vest after trialling throughout the season was a proud moment, and it builds on the experience of captaining the Welsh team last year."

Wilson's success on the international stage highlights the opportunities available to young athletes as they develop their talents beyond School and serves as an inspiring example for current students pursuing excellence in sport.
